How to Use and Restore Original Resin

Original Resin serves as the energy resource in Genshin Impact. Original Resin is used to claim challenge rewards from Ley Line Blossoms, Petrified Trees (Domains), and Trounce Blossoms (Bosses), as well as Event-exclusive challenges.

To note, any use of Original Resin, excluding the conversion into Condensed Resin, will award Adventure EXP at a ratio of 1:5. For example, spending 20 Resin will result in 100 AEXP.

How to Use Original Resin

You can use Original Resin to claim rewards from certain activities such as Domains, Ley Line Blossoms, Bosses and certain events, you can have a total of 160 Resin on you to spend so letting it capped at 160 is a waste and you need to use it as soon as you login because it is the most important resource for your account’s development.

If you are in a hurry and cannot spend your Resin today because you have no time to play there’s a way to transform Original Resin into Condensed Resin all you need to have is Liyue Reputation level 3 and to go to the alchemist crafting device, put one Crystal Ore which are gathered from the different elemental fireflies of the game and 40 Resin combine them and you will get a Condensed Resin, note that you can only hold 5 Condensed Resin in your inventory which is a total of 200 Resin which is more than a day’s worth of Resin.

How Does Resin get Restored

Original Resin passively regenerates at a rate of 1 unit every 8 minutes, which means that a full replenishment (from 0 to 160) will take 21 hours and 20 minutes, You can manually restore 60 resin at a time by using Fragile Resin ×1 or Transient Resin ×1 or by using by using an increasingly expensive amount of Primogems, when replenishing over the 160 cap, players have a hard cap maximum of 2,000 Original Resin.
